Town Criers at Marshville

Saturday, August 30th, 2008: Marshville Heritage Festival's Opening Ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. at our first building, the LOG CABIN. Come and hear about the beginnings of this great Festival. Listen to the cries of our first Town Crier, Mr. Robert Heil as he opens & closes the opening ceremonies.

Whose ideas gave birth to the Festival 20 years ago? Come and meet them at the opening ceremonies.

Ken Dayboll, Art and Robert Dean, Robert Shoalts were the four Wainfleet men who pursued their dream of creating an historical village in their hometown.

On Sunday, August 31, 2008 there will be a Sunday morning worship service in the Marshville Village Church at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Brian Lofthouse will be the Preacher and The Mater Family from Wainfleet, will give leadership for the congregational singing as well as special music during the service. There is seating for about 100 so if you want to join us come in as soon as the gates open at 11:00a.m.

Saturday 9:30-5:30, SUNDAY 11:00-5:50, MONDAY 9:30-5:00

ENTRY FEE
ADULTS $6.00 CHILDREN 10 & under free
SENIORS on SATURDAY ONLY $5.00

PETS
NO PETS ARE TO BE ON FESTIVAL GROUNDS..this is strictly enforced

THRESHERS' SUPPER
On Sat evening at 6:30pm there will be an old fashioned Roast Beef Threshers' meal served at Christ Anglican Church. Tickets are $16.00 and are available by calling NANCY at 905-899-1285 or the office at 905-899-9995.
